I have the mean reds some'tin fierce today.
Dave from Don't Feed The Writer has published a report from a cast & crew screening of Robson Arms, Season 2, which sounds encouraging. (For those who haven't seen it, Robson Arms was a half hour set in an apartment complex in Vancouver.)
I wanted to root for Robson Arms. I thought it was a bit strange in tone in its first season. Some eps seemed like a drama, some were more of a comedy. It had me curious enough, though, that I will be one of those people looking for the show when CTV schedules it. I just hope they give it a decent shot. John Doyle in the Globe loved Robson Arms, if I remember correctly.

I fell in love with the various tenants at Robson Arms over the course of the first season. The show was so well written, produced and performed, it made me kinda sad that I couldn't actually move in there and get to know them all a whole lot better. I can hardly wait for the show to return for a second (hopefully even better) season.
I didn't see it. Didn't know about it until too late. Hmm, that sounds familiar.
Mean reds? I don't suppose Tiffany's therapy works for guys? Hope something does - Guinness therapy?
I had mixed feelings about it, caught about half the first season. It was very up and down and I wasn't sure what it was supposed to be. The characters were interesting and I'll give season 2 a shot.
'mean reds'...sorry, but its been bugging me all day - whatever have you got?
To quote old Truman C. as delivered by Audrey H.
Holly Golightly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul Varjak: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul Varjak: Sure.
Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!
Wow. Tell the truth, yer penning for Dennis Miller now, aren't you.
