I confess that I've never really given a huge chance to Oddjob Jack, a modest flash animated series that runs on the Comedy Network in Canada.
(Pic at left: Jack applies to be a Canadian TV writer. Heh.)
But, courtesy of the Tv, Eh? site, here's something that the creators have done that is totally different, and really very forward thinking.
They've released all their flash elements via a Creative Commons license, using Bit Torrent. I assume this means that with their tutorials, you can remix and create your own animations using their raw materials. That's just flat-out cool. That's forward thinking. That's....well...imagine Disney doing something like that. Wait, don't. I think they can sue you for that now.
In the alternate universe where people with new voices actually get to talk about Canadian TV, rather than the usual suspects, I say we give these guys a megaphone.
