I'm Off...
Well, little overnight Reccy to Detroit and Windsor for a project tomorrow.
Some big new TV tomorrow -- Sons & Daughters, The Unit -- I'll be watching them when I get back -- but in the meantime, feel free to leave your reviews below in comments.
Seriously, do we really need another scene-- ever-- as follows:
Strong Woman: Sure you can leave. But can you live with the fact that every time he looks at you, he'll see how you stole the one thing he wanted most in this world!
Waffling Woman w/Chip on her shoulder looks waffling... and concerned
I mean I'm paraphrasing here, but not by much. I heard and seen this scene so many times now, I think I've got it down. And it's hard. I know it is. You've got David Mamet sitting someplace with his cigar saying: so what the hell am I gonna do with all these wives and stuff when the real story that anyone wants to see is miles away and only has men in it.
Hmmm... Think.... think... sorry I-- The King of American Theatre-- got nothing... anybody? anybody?
Okay... another scene... I call it the "We're your Family Now" Scene.
Strong Woman: Where are you going?
Waffling Woman: I gotta go. I''m going to my sister's. I need to be with my family.
Strong Woman: We're your family now.
Now tell me... take a guess... A wild stab in the dark-- What does Strong Woman look like?
