Copper's a Shopper

FREEZE, EH? might enter the lexicon, it seems. COPPER, a GlobalTV pickup just got snapped up for a run on ABC. It's described loosely "Grey's Anatomy meets a cop show." It's the third cop series produced in Canada to be picked up in the USA, after FLASHPOINT and THE BRIDGE, which started shooting in Toronto last week for a summer start on CBS.

So, yeah, I did call the "Flashpoint's a fluke, there will be no stampede" disastrously wrong, so take this with a huge grain of salt...but I gotta say I've got a baaaaaad feeling that we're about one or two more Canadian-on-U.S. nets shows away from a Yankee backlash. TV: Our next softwood lumber?
