The big thing though is that it is two Late Night shows entirely owned by a company run by a member of the Writers Guild, and a movie-making studio controlled by a member of the Screen Actors Guild. I'm not disagreeing about the deal being unreasonable, but you are talking about two people (Cruise and Letterman) who are essentially predisposed to think it's not unreasonable.

on the other hand CBS is thinking about airing an edited "broadcast safe" version of Dexter...
I've also heard the rumor that they're thinking about doing the same with Weeds.
Can you imagine?!
Matt - a "broadcast safe" version of Weeds? What, you mean a commercial?
Denis - Weinsteins may be the next to make a deal. Wow!
