They Used To Give Real Beavers, But They Kept Dying

ALEX EPSTEIN, Mr. Complications Ensue, and one of the writers of Bon Cop, Bad Cop has an awesome Canadian showbiz story up at his digs.

Seriously. This is how it works here.

Too funny.

Unrelated (though I have similar anecdotes): Didn't Earl and the Office hit it out of the park last night?

30 rock was good too, but earl and office. Wow. I feel like those shows are playing in a different league.

They were comedy awards, having to pay for them was the punch line.

My sister won a Gemini last year as part of a group, and she too was told she'd have to pay if she wanted a statue.

Even worse, the official reception after the awards had a CASH BAR!

But hey, at least she got serenaded by Walter Gretzky on the way in.
