So after a weekend catching up and relaxing, and clearing off the PVR systematically, I've reduced the fall season to three new shows that I'll continue to watch until they're moved or canceled:
Journeyman - It's still about McKidd for me, but the peek at the morality of what he does, the continued strain on his relationship, and the intriguing peek at the hand behind it all has me in. 'Course it's also Monday at 10pm -- and that's a good time for me to watch TeeVee.
Pushing Daisies - I didn't think they'd be able to pull the 3rd ep off, but they did. I like it, and what's more, I don't have much whimsical comfort stuff that I watch regularly.
Life - I still like it. I like him.
I checked out two more Dirty Sexy Money's last night and I just don't see it as a must see. If I'm home with time, maybe.
Kristen Bell joining Heroes comes at just the right time because I'm right about on the edge of giving up.

Pushing Daisies is pure unadulterated happy. (Dear Laughlin people: If you want to "sneak in" a musical number, that's how you do it.)
I'm still trying to like Pushing Daisies, but I don't think it's going to happen. My man loves it, oddly enough.
Journeyman is great, but it's Life that has got me completely hooked. It's all about the characters, gentlemen. A clever premise will get me to tune in, but great characters will keep me coming back.
In fact, Charlie Crews reminds me very much of another great character: Larry Darrell from 'The Razors Edge'.
Life is an awesome show, really great characters, particularily Charlie Crews.
I can't say I agree with you about Journeyman or Pushing Daisies though. Sorry...
I have a few Heroes episodes in my DVR (I'm not sure I want to watch them) but I adore Kristen Bell so I may just have to give the show another go.
I'm starting to have a love-hate relationship with Journeyman. On the one hand, I'm starting to love the tongue in cheek homages (obscure as it was, I loved the whole "it's OK for you to sleep with Livia because. . ." it's in the past bit, especially when coupled with Jeffrey Pierce guest starring -- my friends and I totally asked that metaphysical question while watching Charlie Jade) and teasing the audience with resolutions for their fan boy desires then pulling the rug out from under their feet.
At the same time, I do kind of feel like I'm getting a little jerked around. I don't know what to expect, but I want a good pay off for this show. . .and I so want it to be something new that no one can expect. These writers have the intelligence to know what the audience wants, I hoep they make me want something new.
I'm just catching the life train. I haven't joined the daisy party and I'll come on and off the journey... what's got me bummed out is Heroes. This season really needs to pick it up. I'm feeling incredibly let down by what I've seen so far.
heroes was dropped midway through the season premiere. That show got awfil, fast.
Finding it hard to stay excited about Pushing Daisies. It's just a little too precious for me.
(IMHO) Chi McBride's supporting character is a solid, gentle counterweight to the near over-sweetness of Pushing Daisies.
After viewing the bickering couple - and the ex-guy his hidden birth control wife keeps turning to, I think I know why the Journeyman is travelling ;)
