I Have A Headache

SO, Canwest's CHCH and other CH branded stations are becoming E! Canada.

CHUM's STAR channel was launched as kind of an E! Canada a few years back. They used a lot of E! Programming. I guess that's going to go away.

Also, CHUM and CTV were probably going to argue in their merger hearings before the CRTC that Global had two stations in each market so they should have them too. But now one is branded a different type of station. What does that mean?

For that matter, how can the CRTC allow E! in when STAR already exists? Isn't that the point of what they do?

No?

You know, all these huge companies with all these big rebrands, and sales, and duelling press releases about which of their B.S. entertainment shows about U.S. celebrities do better in Canada....and the only thing they're all dead sure of is that there's no way they have any more money to make real Canadian programs that Canadians want to watch.

There are receipts all over my floor.

Sweet, sweet, sweet Advil Blue.
