Conversations with Television Writers, Chapter XXVII

10:28 a.m.
Ring. Ring. Ring. Machine.
"Hey. Read the notes. Whoa."

Wait.
12:18 p.m.

Ring. Ring. Ring. "YOU ARE RELENTLESS!"
"Ha. Knew you were home."

"I'M WRITING..!"
"Good for you. So...these notes...."

TIME CUT TO:

2 minutes later.

"So, now I've got you on the phone. You have to help me with a story problem."
"Okay. Shoot."

"I need an activity for [Main Character of show.] There's a [detail of secondary character and relationship] and it has to be really annoying."
"Paintball?"

"They did paintball."
"What about a hike?"

"They did that. I was thinking spinning."
"Spinning's good. Like that really needed that extra bit of marketing."

"Riding a stationary bike, not good enough."
"Exactly."

"I used to think spinning was, actually, like, spinning."
"Yeah, like breakdancing without the music."

"That would be pretty funny."
"Yeah."

"Okay. I gotta write this. I'm two days behind."
"Fine, okay."

"Right. Go fuck yourself."
"You too."

CLICK.

"Damn. I wanted to tell him I was going to go see Borat this afternoon. Heh heh."

Completely unrelated....I see you're using the new version of Blogger...the beta version.

How is it treating you? I'm afraid I'll switch over and lose everything.

Fodder for a post sometime...
