You know, it's not just the thought that W. would go fetal and dissolve into his weird ticks if he was ever questioned like this, it's the knowledge that, whatever his faults (and they were legion) here's a guy who actually saw the world as complex -- who read, and absorbed info from a variety of sources. And who left office with a high approval rating, no less. And -- lo and behold -- actually takes responsibility for his failings. (Just not the failings that the wingnuts want to rewrite history to put on him.) It's such a breathtaking change from Bush it's...a little appalling.
I'm reminded of that Onion headline after Bush was installed: "Our long nightmare of peace and prosperity is over." Indeed.

I watched the whole thing Sunday morning. Then I watched the commentators pat poor Chris on the back for taking a hit. Even Arianna Huffington doesn't get it. There is a huge audience that is just waiting for that kind of smack down. We are just so tired of the bobblehead media and their self-congratulatory, publicly demeaning, morally inept tactics. If their questions were honest I wouldn't feel the same way. Clinton had every right to go ballistic and even so he kept a pretty clear head.
This- we are getting emails and so I'll ask the question on everyone's mind- crap just begs to be called out. Wallace may have gotten an email but it was probably from Karl Rove.
