Getting Banffed and Taking in the Motor City.

Will Dixon is blogging about the Banff TV festival, as is Alex. Interesting bits from Will, especially, about Day One.

As for me, I'm sitting outside right now at a very nice restaurant in Detroit. I've split off from the rest of the people doing the scout for Across The River... I'll spend some time at the Detroit Historical Museum and Hitsville USA this afternoon -- (call it research...no..really.) Then I'll be doing something I never thought I'd do -- I'm going to take a taxi across an international border. Crazy!

This morning I got to stand on the pitcher's mound at poor, stately, sad, derelict Tiger Stadium. I could tell you why -- but that would spoil the surprise. (Actually, I'm not even sure I know 100% why yet. But it sure was cool being there.)

So to all you people trolling the flop sweated environs of the smoking patio at the Banff Springs, especially you gentle little lamb CFC types --

--this TV gig, if you persevere?

Cool beans.
