It sucks not being able to say something you know, and it's a great relief when you can.
Tanya Huff posted the big news on her blog, so I feel sanguine about repeating it here:
U.S. Blood Ties viewers: Lifetime has picked up the back nine. You will get to see all 22 eps of the first seaon, including the 2 and 1/2 written by me.
Now, if you'd be so kind to take a moment -- to write Lifetime a nice "Thanks!" email, I'd be much obliged. And please... wait a proper period of time before bugging them about picking up season two.
I suggest...72 hours. That should be enough.:)

Congrats!
In a strange twist of fate, a completed series I am trying to sell to MTV Russia (seriously) lies in limbo as they are waiting to see if they get Blood Ties too ... they're going for a vampire block. Funny old world, isn't it?
ya know. I went to the lifetime site to send that email and I can't seem to find an address.
D, doth you know it by chance. after I use it, I'll spread it around 200 of my closest friends.
Congratulations to you and the entire cast and crew! You guys have done a hell of a job and deserve to celebrate this news. I'm a fan of the series and am very excited about this news.
PS: I've already drafted my 'Season 2' email...just waiting to email it. :)
I'm not sure if this is a change becasue I seem to remember there being an easily accessible email address to Lifetime on their site. But it could be that that was just overwhelmed. Now if you poke around they seem to indicate that they don't read programming emails. (Which is very 1998, but whatever.) They suggest sending a postcard. Here is the address:
You may write to Lifetime by sending a postcard. All communications not sent via postcard will not be read. Send your postcard to:

Glad to hear about the pick-up, Denis. My fingers are crossed for a second season.

Congratulations Denis and everybody involved - including the fans.
So you could be going back to Vancouver again - make sure to be there at the start of season 2 to see some sunny Vancouver skies.
