2 rumbles:
Some quick points:
1. The Trotsky IS a Damn Fun Movie. I want a sequel, just as I still do for Bon Cop, Bad Cop.
2. What the Hell are the distro company and the theatre chains thinking, confining The Trotsky to only one theatre in the city of Ottawa? (And is similar thinking in play elsewhere across Canada?)
3. Genevieve Bujold's performance in The Trotsky is an example of what Trek fans were hoping to get from her on Voyager all those years ago. *sigh*
4. That neo-con dog-piling on dissenters against their worldview over at insidethecbc.com is insane. What my open dissent there says about my own mental health has likely already been said elsewhere. *shrugs helplessly*
5. You're in the right to still want a homegrown TV/film industry worth working in and for. Never surrender, Denis.
The Trotsky is a great indie movie. With the right distribution, it could be a breakout like Juno or Little Miss Sunshine in the States.
