WE NOW INTERRUPT this Olympic blog break to bring news that Gordon Lightfoot is d...er, that I'll be yakking about the Olympics on several CBC Radio morning shows tomorrow.
You should hear me pop up sometime in your morning show if you live in the following cities: Ottawa (where I am right now) around 6:20 a.m., followed by Thunder Bay, Cape Breton, Moncton, N.B., Corner Brook, NFLD, Winnipeg, parts of Ontario that get Ontario A.M., Edmonton and Prince George/Prince Rupert.
Freelance TV critic Bill Brioux (who's got an interesting article here on those PPM ratings) will be doing other markets -- then later we have to meet under the clock in Union Station, play back the tapes, and whoever was more awesome gets to pants the other while Nikki whatshername sings O Canada and Stephen Colbert points and laughs and calls us a couple of iceholes.
Well. Not really. But that would be cool.
First day of the Prime Time conference in Ottawa was alternately depressing and interesting, but there'll be time to talk on that later.
Also, LESS THAN KIND, the fabulous comedy that finds a new home on TMN / Movie Central, bows tomorrow night -- look for it. I've seen the first few eps and they're wonderful. I'll hopefully get a piece up about it when I'm on the train back to Toronto. But we'll see. And that, as they say, is it.
Off into the Ottawa night now.
1 rumbles:
That would be cool.
