Nailed It!

IT'S BEEN A pretty good couple of years for TV writers and politics. First you had the final season of the West Wing eerily mirroring the two-years off Presidential race. (Which caused a sensation when it finally ran in the UK, because, well, it's eerie.) Then there was the strange serendipitous turn that the most colorful VP candidate ever just happened to be a doppelganger for one of the sharpest minds in comedy. Then there's the other former SNL comedian & writer who apparently just got elected Senator from Minnesota. And now, damn you HuffPo's Jason Linkins, you beat me to it:

Old Impeached Blago just got up and totally went Clay Davis on our ass.

For those of you who didn't see that memorable scene from THE WIRE, well...here you go:

Now take a look at this:

Man o Man. All I can say is...

"That is some shameful SHEEEEE-yit."

Jimmy Smits' character eerily resembles Barack Obama because the West Wing writers called up David Axelrod and said, "Tell us more about this guy Barack Obama."
