Also, I find it disturbing that CNN's Campbell Brown seems to consistently think exactly what I think. Because, um, if we're going to share a brain anyway, why does she get to be the pretty one?
You are the ones who supposedly vetted her, and then told the American people she was qualified for the job. You are the ones who after meeting her a couple of times, told us she was ready to be just one heartbeat away from the Presidency. If even half of what you say NOW is true, then boy, did you try to sell the American people a bill of goods. If Sarah Palin is the reason some voters chose Barack Obama, that is no one's fault but your own. John McCain, as he so graciously said himself the other night, lost this election. He lost it with your help, your advice, your guidance, and yes, your running mate recommendations. And that is crystal clear to everyone, no matter how hard you try to blame Sarah Palin or anyone else.

What is especially disturbing is that Campbell Brown is married to Dan Senor, a very very hardline GOP operative who was the Bush Administration spokesman in Iraq during the early (and disastrous) phases of the Iraq War.
Why is that especially disturbing?
From Ahnuld and Maria to Mary Matalin and James "Serpenthead" Carville, marriages and friendships across the aisle used to be not unusual at all -- in fact, they were no big thing.
It's only in the last 20 years of hyper-partisanship, wedge driven, win at all costs government in the USA that those structures have fallen down. People who have been in the Senate for longer than that talk about "my friends across the aisle" and have actually meant it. It's time -- past time -- to get back to that. It's only politics.
In fact, that little tidbit about Campbell Brown just makes me like her more.
