FOR THE PAST several weeks, through endless started conversations about whether the Michigan or Florida delegates would be seated, or what the meaning of Etruscan columns were or what exactly was meant by that flag pin or this fist bump, I have steadfastly said to my parents and to every other person I've engaged on Politics -- "I'm not talking about the bullshit."
So now we have two countries. Canada and the U.S.A. Both going to the Polls. Both with parties who have radically differing views about issues and the future direction of the country. Arguably, the U.S. election is probably more important to the world -- even to Canadians - though I'm pretty sure that most American friends will be jealous to know that the campaign here is about 32 days instead of 3 1/2 years. That's right! Suck it!
But anyway, I don't have the energy to worry about bullshit. Really I don't. Which is why I'm so fucking angry about the media coverage -- in both countries -- that I want to scream.
Luckily, even though Brioux already posted this, I don't have to punk out on my currently late-ish outline. I can just point you to the September 10th, 2008 monologue of newly minted American citizen Craig Ferguson.
It says all the shit needs saying.
And while we're at it, there's this one, too:

NPR did a phoner the other day with a farmer attempting to put actual lipstick on an actual pig. I almost had to pull over before I laughed myself into an accident.
Thirty-two days sounds really, REALLY good right now. *sigh*
This whole thing is just making me sad.
The problem is that there is a large percentage of the population that doesn't care. They want to believe McCain.
Otherwise, he'd be hovering around 10% in the polls.
When Ferguson wants to, he can really rock.
"She can suck it!"
DMC channels the great Pam Anderson.
I agree with Will. He's the late nighter I've been watching the most lately.
