CANCELLATION AND PICKUP notices are starting to flow forward now. The ones that have caught my eyes so far:
Eli Stone, very worthy in its freshman outing, gets a pickup for 13.
Life On Mars, the American version, finally gets a pickup.
The roar you hear from the Internet is the Whedonesque fans, now that St. Joss's Dollhouse has a series pickup.
And Back To You and October Road both got canned. Which just goes to prove, chickens, it aint the pedigree it's the execution that matters.
Anything else y'all are looking forward to?

Aww dammit! I liked Back To You.
Tho' admittedly, the switch of the daughter and the loss of Ayda Field was pretty noticeable. I'm guessing that happened 'cause of the strike - I dunno for sure tho'.
Any word on Big Bang Theory?
Bummer. I was just getting into a nice groove with "Back To You." (Or maybe I'm just sad at losing a TV show with actual staging and blocking rather than the unending run of close-ups that seem to be the norm.)
Errr, Ummm, Hello Denis.
Would you know of anyone interested in a Spec Pilot - the likes of Back to You and a 30 Rock mash-up?
Just asking,
thanks.
I am not a happy camper these days. So far Jericho, New Amsterdam, Men In Trees, Intelligence, MVP, Canterbury's Law, Wildfire, Whistler, Blood Ties, October Road and likely Cane have been cancelled. Three more--McLeod's Daughters, Instant Star and ER, are about to air their final seasons. That leaves me with not a lot of shows left to watch.
I would cancel my cable if it weren't for BBC Canada, The Hour and hockey. I think I'd be better of just renting the DVD boxed sets of shows which survive a few seasons.
Oooh! Colm Meaney as Gene Hunt? I'm in! But how are they planning to explain two Irish cops in LA?
Wow, yeah. How are they ever going to explain Irish cops?
In AMERICA?
Crazzzy!
