I worked straight through the weekend and turned in a draft yesterday. So I had no weekend, right? So I should be taking today off and contemplating the next step and the meeting I have Friday, right?
Wrong.
Sigh. Instead I'm taking an animation pitch to outline. Glamorous! Awesome! Feh!
But because I'm burned out, I'm also surfing and doing the wasting-time dance.
I'm really digging this woman's blog right now. Curious about staffing season and what it does to people? Go give it a read.
She seems to be handling it rather well.
I'm also channeling my inner Jane Espenson right now -- I just realized that I've been obsessing over the thought of a Ham and Swiss Sandwich on Wheat Bread from wagamama, the cafe across the street from me.
Damnit, I gotta go buy that sandwich. And if they have the Potato Leek Soup too, well, I'm going to freak out.

Wow denis,
You worked all weekend? All day Saturday and Sunday. Even Sunday? The Lords Day? You worked ALL day on Sunday? Oh, Denis, you are going to kill yourself working at this pace. All day Sunday huh? Man, I have to admit my Sunday felt like work too. Mainly because I was heaving large sums of cash on to a poker table. I think I sprained my wallet...but you, you were toiling away at the computer all day, sweating over scripts...I feel for you man...ON A SUNDAY YET? wow...
Dear Mmm mmm-mmister I've got Inside-info-Rotten-bastard:
I started working Saturday morning at about 10:30 a.m. and finished writing at about 9:30 p.m. Then I watched a movie.
Sunday morning, there I was, bright and early, at the computer at 9:00 a.m.
I worked pretty much right up til the time when you arrived -- early, by the way. That means, oh, roughly about 15 solid hours put in over two days, which pretty cleanly counts for "working the weekend." I try to avoid seeing 8am on a Sunday morning, when I can avoid it.
Now -- your apology to me should be effusive, grovelling, and wrapped in scotch. And you should bake cookies or something. My back also hurts today so a rub is not out of the question.
By the way, nice ReGenesis performance. You're a super, super, super actor.
How does that expression of yours go again?
Einst is Einst...
